To All Referees, Firstly, thank you for your support during the season. It has been a pleasure to have you assist with Morning grade games. We are well aware also of the huge support that families give us as we disappear every Saturday so also please pass on our gratitude for their commitment.

As you may be aware one of our referees Terry Long is involved with the Mellowpuff Charitable Trust for Taranaki kids with Cancer.

To Raise awareness of this cause referees will wear special socks on Saturday as they officiate at finals. Wearing these socks is a personal option, and by no means compulsory but would be a really great way to acknowledge the involvement of this exceptional trust in the community. The socks will be available in the Tukapa clubrooms on Saturday Morning,

Regards and Thanks
Joe and Lionel

Lets get kicked off on time . . .

A reminder to referees about getting games kicked off on time. When talking with team managers and captains prior to the game, remind them they need to be on the field and ready to kick off at the time prescribed, not just leaving the changing rooms then.
This is part of our role to ensure that happens. Often other games may on that field after , or referees are required to run touch.
Often you will need to be running teams onto the field from their changing rooms with sometimes up to 5 minutes beforehand, as it can take that long for them to finally come out, or it can take that long to make it to the field.
Secondary Schools appointments now attached to the bottom of the weekly appointments.

  • Self-test capability which covers:
    • All 22 laws
    • 7's and Under 19 variations
    • Referee signals
    • Video tests
    • The test can be taken over multiple visits to the site
    • On completion users can download an awareness certificate
  • Access to the site is free to everyone
  • Registration is only required when users want to undertake the tests
